"Batteries Not Included" was a passion project thought up by by mom, Mary Pair,  before her passing in 2019.  She wanted to enforce the importance of not using electronic or battery operated toys/games and instead, use your imagination and have fun with items around your house.  It follows Paisley, her sidekick and Aunt Lilly through a snowday with no power and the fun things they come up with to keep busy.  The book rhymes, for ages 3 and up, and has a fun little game to play by finding the friendly spider hidden in each illustration.
